A Watford woman has launched a swimming drive in a bid to teach toddlers across the county to swim and raise cash for charity.
Georgie Hibbs, 27, has teamed up with Swimkidz, an organisation which provides swimming lessons to toddlers and children, to provide classes at Chiswell Pools, Kings Langley.
Children aged from two to five are invited to learn to swim at the pools every Saturday throughout February.
Cost for lessons is £5, £4 of which will be given to charity The Foresters’ Fund For Children (FFFC) and £1 to cover costs.
Ms Hibbs, of Victoria Road, said: “I’m really passionate about swimming, I love it, and I’m keen to pass on my swimming knowledge to as many as possible.
“Learning to swim is an important skill and one that can be picked up from an early age.
“It’s also great to support the FFFC, which assists charities and organisations in the UK and Ireland by promoting a better quality of life for children - through their protection, care and well-being.”
Classes start this Saturday, at Chiswell Pools, 126 Hempstead Road, Kings Langley, from 10am.
