A singer from Watford is hoping that his latest track, which promotes racial tolerance, will be used as a local anthem for the 2012 Olympic Games.
Levi Positive, a reggae singer who has been performing around the town for almost 35 years, gave students at West Herts College a preview performance of his song All the Colours on Thursday.
He said: “I wrote the song to represent my community at the games.
“It is about giving out a positive message - there are a lot of problems going on.
“It is a community theme but it can stretch to an international level.”
Levi is now hoping that residents will join together to sing his song to spread it around the town.
Caroline Joyce, community development coordinator at the college, said: “It is a great song, with a simple, but brilliant and important message.
“The reaction from everyone at the College has been wonderful. Levi has been talking to students and signing autographs; he has made it a fantastic afternoon.”
