Members of the Three Rivers Youth Council will meet next month to discuss how to spend their annual grant.
During the next meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, February 7, the youngsters will debate which areas of the community need their support.
Councillor Ann Shaw, young person’s champion, is trying to encourage more young people to get involved.
She said: “This should be a really enjoyable meeting with lots of interesting topics to discuss.
“I would encourage more young people in the district to come along to a meeting and play their part in making their voices heard and making a difference to their local community.”
Last year Breakspeare School, Cruse Bereavement Care Young People’s Service and Rickmansworth Youth Football Club were among those to benefit from the youth council’s budget.
Members, who are aged between 11 and 19, will also discuss mobile phone security and youth perception of crime and anti-social behaviour at next month’s session.
The meeting will be held in the Penn Chamber at Three Rivers House, Rickmansworth between 5.30 and 7pm.
