An Abbots Langley martial arts club will be able to purchase new safety equipment, thanks to funding from Hertfordshire County Council.
B J Academy, which offers Tae Kwon Do lessons at the community centre in Gallows Hill Road, has been given £1,250 from the council’s locality budget.
The cash will be used to pay for new safety equipment and mats so more students can train.
Locality budgets were launched in July 2009, with funding to be used for worthy, social, economical or environmental causes in Hertfordshire.
