A teenager who died after being struck by a bus in Garston last week has been described as “lovely, creative and successful”.
Jan Louise Henney, from Lansdowne Close, was left with serious injuries after the incident on Tuesday, which took place just minutes from her home.
The 18-year-old, a student at Parmiter’s School, was initially taken to Watford General Hospital and then transferred for specialist care at St Mary's Hospital in London.
Nick Daymond, head teacher of Parmiter's School, said: “We were immensely saddened to be informed of the death of one of our Year 13 students, Jan Henney.
“Jan was a lovely girl, a creative and successful student. Her teachers and friends at Parmiter’s will miss her greatly.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with Jan’s family and many friends and we will continue to offer them our love and support at this very difficult time.”
