Today saw the start of a new feed and for the first couple of hours things seemed to go ok. As the day wore on the feed reverted to type and at the time of posting this blog output is over the 1 litre mark. Before I even had a chance to comment back to Oxford my dietitian had been on the email and was working out the next move. She seems to have another feed option up her sleeve so I will wait to see what happens tomorrow. Thankfully the feed should finish in time for bed so my night's sleep should be a good one tonight.

To compliment the output my stomach becomes very bloated and the discomfort grows. Am trying very hard not to use too much tramadol as I am conscious that I successfully came off all the opiates before and don't want to get started down that route again. It is all decidedly frustrating but what can I do. The stomach pains are perhaps more frequent than before but I keep putting that down to the feed. I guess it feels like the food I take goes down very very slowly and then on comes the feed and it unblocks the drain and out comes the liquid. Not sure if that is a particularly scientific way of putting it but hopefully you get my meaning.

Although I am definitely going out a bit more and trying to do more around the house I do feel that I am in a bit of a rut at the moment. I would like to do a bit more work stuff but there isn't much about and also I can't go to meetings so it tends to mean that I do everything via email. This is all well and good but staring at a screen all day isn't the most stimulating experience. Still I know it won't be forever and soon I will be out and about again. Trying very hard not to sound a little frustrated and if it comes across like that then feel free to ignore me.

I have though managed to get my blog and twitter account in to various medical publications and on line with a few governing bodies so the word is spreading. I am even starting to understand a little about "search engine optimisation" - don't ask but it is basically how I can get my blog further up the google rankings. It is amazing what you can find out if you ask a few friends!!

I expect to hear from my dietitian tomorrow and will then up date you with the next installment.

Have a great night x
