Young children with learning difficulties will be able to enjoy an after school club thanks to a donation from Hertfordshire County Council.
Watford Mencap has been given £500 from the council’s locality budget, so that it can provide after school club sessions during February and March.
Up to 60 children a week attend the sessions where they get to enjoy activities in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment.
Locality budgets were launched in July 2009, with funding to be used for worthy social, economic or environmental causes in Hertfordshire.
