A Holocaust survivor visited a secondary school in Watford to tell pupils about his experiences.
Harry Bibring visited Watford Grammar School for Boys on Wednesday in the lead up to this year’s Holocaust Memorial Day.
The pupils had the opportunity to ask Mr Bibring questions to enable them to grasp more of an understanding.
Mrs Charlton, head of religious studies at the school, said: “It is a privilege for us to welcome him to our school and his testimony will remain a powerful reminder of the horrors so many experienced.
“It will encourage out students to learn from the lessons of the Holocaust and make positive difference in their own lives.”
The theme of this year’s Holocaust Memorial Day is Speak up, Speak Out, and is trying to encourage people to oppose racism and prejudice in today’s society.
