A group of youngsters from Watford are organising a family puzzle solving afternoon to raise money for disadvantaged children around the world.
Charlotte, Annabel, and Emma Staines have joined forces with family friends Maya, Roma and Kieran Agnihotri to raise money for Child Hope, an international charity that helps vulnerable children through healthcare and education.
The afternoon, which will be held on Sunday, January 22, will involve a series of lateral thinking puzzles at different difficulty levels.
Charlotte Staines, the eldest of the group, said: “We were brought up well in a good country but some people in other countries don’t have the same things that we do so we thought we should help them.
“It feels nice that we are helping other people.”
The group, aged between seven and 13, have been publicising the event, seeking donations for raffle prizes and selling tickets since November.
The event will be held at Nascot Wood Recital Hall, in Nascot Wood Road, between 2.30 and 5pm and will cost £20 for a family ticket.
