A Chipperfield church’s annual spring lecture will be given by the Bishop of St Albans this year.
Visitors are invited to St Paul’s Parish Church, in The Common, on Saturday, February 25.
Breakfast will be served at 8am, followed by a talk at 9.15am entitled The role of Christian faith in building a better world, by Bishop of St Albans, the Right Reverend Dr Alan Smith.
Philip Waine, who helps organise the event, said: “We have held a number of these lectures over the years and they always prove to be very uplifting. In the past we have had talks given by a scientist on Darwin and a businessman who had lost his job.”
Coffee will be available at back of church from 8.45am for those attending the lecture only.
Cost of the lecture including breakfast is £10 or £6 for the lecture only. For more details and reservations, contact Philip Waine at philwaine1@btinternet.com or telephone 07771 712636.
