Council tax for Bovingdon has been frozen, according to budget figures.
Residents will continue to pay £24.96 for Band D properties in the village.
Despite this freeze, Bovingdon Parish Council is set to decrease its precept for 2012 and 2013, from £52,920 to £52,690, a drop of 0.43 per cent.
According to Mike Kember, parish council clerk, this is due to Dacorum Borough Council amending the number of properties in the village, affecting the level of precept.
Mr Kember said: “It had been agreed to increase the precept for three years starting in 2010.
“This was to recover the loss of the element in the concurrent service grant for the cost of employing the village warden. “However, at its December meeting, the finance committee agreed that part of the improved performance from the Memorial Hall should be used to offset the third annual increase to the precept required, to cover the reduced contribution by the borough towards the warden.
“The recommendation was that the precept should be held at the 2011 to 2012 level.”
