Hertsmere's Citizens Advice Bureau says it is delighted at news it will receive £37,000 from the borough council for the third year running.
Members of the authority's executive committee announced on Wednesday it would continue funding an additional debt advisor at the organisation.
Heather Day, chief executive of the bureau said: “We’re delighted that we can continue our work helping people with their financial issues.
“We are seeing more people coming through our doors with financial difficulties and we are seeing a big strain put on people’s finances.
“The squeeze on people’s money has gone on longer than we expected, and it’s important we are able to help those who need advice on the best ways to get out of debt.”
The CAB approached the council in 2008 asking for money to help pay for an extra debt advisor at the peak of the financial crisis.
Money has since been provided by the authority ever since.
