One of the questions I keep getting asked when I am out and about is what will happen after we complete our first five-year Improvement Programme in September 2012 - will we carry on improving homes? The answer, of course, is yes, absolutely!

It’s really exciting to think that between September 2012 and September 2017 we will have a new Improvement Programme in place. If we have not updated your property by September your home may be included in the next five year programme. Over the coming months we will once again be identifying the homes that we need to include in this programme and during 2012/13 we will be appointing contractors to carry out these works.

Meanwhile, we are continuing with our current improvements and are on course to complete them by September 2012! The improvements are also well underway on the two high rise blocks and the four low rise blocks in the Meriden estate and the windows in the Radlett Road area have been completed ahead of schedule and are looking very stylish. We are also fitting new digital aerials and improving communal areas.

At the High Rise there are up to 30 flats being worked on at any one time, In February the residents will be invited to help choose the look of the planned new reception areas. One of the ways you can contact us and keep up to date on what is happening is through our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/WatfordCommunityHousingTrust.

We have definitely commenced the New Year with a very exciting phase and lots of things are going on. To find out more information about anything happening at the Trust, please contact me on trusty.house@wcht.org.uk.
