A special international school dinner menu has been developed to help inspire the next generation of Olympians.
Hertfordshire’s Good School Food Team created the sporting themed menu, which will be in schools from March 5 to 16.
During this two week food festival, pupils can try cuisine from a different countries and learn about exotic cultures and customs.
The menu is part of a wider project called “The Gold Medal Menu Challenge”, which encourages pupils to research and pay tribute to past gold medal winners.
Lin O’Brien, head of Hertfordshire Catering says “I hope that all pupils and students in Hertfordshire really enjoy our inspirational and innovative programme.
“The benefits of eating a healthy diet and exercising is widely reported, but to be able to offer our young people the chance to have fun and to be excited about these two lifestyle aspects is something Hertfordshire Catering are hugely committed to.”
