Police are using Facebook to track down the owners of thousands of pieces of recovered jewellery.
As part of a new operation, photographs of recovered jewellery have been posted on Hertfordshire Constabulary’s Facebook site.
An online form is available for anyone who recognises any of the pieces at www.herts.police.uk.
The constabulary previously ran a similar operation in May last year, but there are still thousands of unidentified items.
