Visitors to Abbots Langley Community Centre will be able to enjoy a newly refurbished coffee area, thanks to Hertfordshire County Council.
The building, which stands in Manor House Grounds, Abbots Langley, will undergo a makeover after the council donated £500 from its locality budget.
Although the community centre was refurbished in 2009, at the time funding did not stretch to replacing the furniture in the coffee area, which the locality budget cash will now cover.
The centre is popular with a number of local groups and organisations including the Monday Club, which caters for people with learning difficulties.
Locality budgets were launched in July 2009, with funding to be used for worthy social, economic or environmental causes in Hertfordshire.
