Residents are being encouraged to recycle as much of their Christmas clutter as possible in the new year by Hertsmere Council.
The authority, which manages recycling in the borough, has organised shredding sessions for obsolete Christmas trees and drop-off points for leftover greetings cards.
Trees will be shredded in Kemp Place car park, off High Street, Bushey, on Thursday, January 5 and in Newberries Car Park, in Watling Street, Radlett, on Sunday, January 8.
Christmas cards can be dropped into special bins at the venues at any time while smaller trees can be disposed of in residential green waste bins.
