An Abbots Langley eco-group has been awarded a council grant to help raise the profile of climate change in the village.
The Abbots Langley Transition Town Association has received £300 from Hertfordshire County Council to help publicise its aims through Abbots Langley Parish.
The group is a locally-founded initiative aimed at tackling the problems of declining fossil fuels and climate change. It is run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis and on the four key areas of focus - transport, food, energy and waste.
It raises awareness through events in the village and also works closely with other groups in Abbots Langley such as the gardening society, history society, schools and churches.
