It was the last bank holiday, May 2nd and the dogs and I walked to Cassiobury Park and warm but breezy.
It was a carnival atmosphere as people thronged towards the park.
I manged to get a map of the course - 3K for the youngsters and 10k for the adults. My spaniels and I positioned ourselves arounf the 9k mark to watch the runners battle their way home.I felt useless just watching, so started to cheer and clap, nagging all the others standing around to do the same. My friends panted past looking very sweaty. so I walked towards the finish but decided to wait until the last person had gone past and egged them on with lots of whooping and shouts of "Well Done". Rather them than me!. I just had to walk home.
