Cyclists are encouraged to dust off their saddles and take part in a bike ride across south-west Hertfordshire this weekend.
Spokes cycling group saw 14 people join them for a five mile ride last month, setting off from Cassiobury Park in Watford, as part of their attempts to see more bikes on local cycleways.
The route took them through Whippendell Woods and onto the canal towpath to Grove Hill and returned along quiet roads to the park where most stayed for tea and cakes at the Cha Cha Cha café.
The next ride will take place this Saturday, May 7, starting from 2pm at the café in Cassiobury Park.
Other rides are planned for June 4, ahead of National Cycle Week, which runs from June 18-26, and on July 2 and August 6.
Each ride will differ slightly but will be between five and eight miles long and should take about an hour to complete.
