More than 200 sandwiches were served when Watford charity DRUM hosted 80 guests at a Royal wedding party.
The event, at the Parkgate Community Centre in Southwold Road, was attended by Watford Borough Council chairman Alan Burtenshaw and his consort Ellie Burtenshaw, and Watford MP Richard Harrington.
The venue was decorated in Union Jack bunting and red, white and blue balloons, while members of the charity had their photographs taken with a life-sized cut-out of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Malcolm Cracknell, DRUM chairman, said: “What a wonderful day we've had, absolutely brilliant. We are incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic bunch of staff and volunteers at DRUM and they have all worked so hard to ensure that everyone has had a memorable day.”
Sarah Sullivan, DRUM manager, added: “We've had a great turnout and a fantastic day. We went for it big time with the decorations and the community centre looked absolutely wonderful.”
