Residents across Kings Langley were flying their Union Jack flags with pride over the weekend, to mark the royal wedding of Prince William to Catherine Middleton.
Crowds of villagers dressed in red, white and blue, gathered at Kings Langley Services Club on Friday afternoon, shortly after the wedding was broadcast across the world.
According to organiser Amy Ward, 25, visitors enjoyed dancing courtesy of Phipps Irish Dancers, miniature truck racing, party games and a tea party in the club’s car park.
By early evening, some residents were dancing the night away while others were taking part in a Mr and Mrs quiz.
Ms Ward, of Beechfield Road, Kings Langley, said: “A huge number turned out for the celebrations, not just club members, but a large portion of the community.
“We started after the wedding at 3pm, and with the bunting fluttering, everyone was really in the party mood.
“All the members really pulled together to ensure this landmark event was celebrated, Kings Langley villagers captured the spirit of the big day.”
