Information about child sex offenders and how to access it will form part of the agenda at a community safety meeting in Bushey next week.

The Disclosure Scheme, which aims to provide parents, guardians and carers with information on offenders, began in Hertfordshire on January 21.

Marcus Bromley, of the public protection unit at Hertfordshire Constabulary, will give a talk on the scheme at the Bushey Community Safety Partnership (CSP) meeting on Thursday, May 12.

He said: "I will be explaining a bit of background in relation to the scheme, how a request for police checks can be made, who can make them, the criteria for making them and what happens next if police discover information on the subject pertaining to child sex offences."

The meeting, which will also include an update from the neighbourhood policing team will take place at Queens' School, in Aldenham Road, at 7pm.
