A series of guided tours around a 14th century barn in Rickmansworth starts this month.
Croxley Great Barn, which stands in the grounds of St Joan of Arc school, dates back to 1398 and is the largest of its type in Hertfordshire.
The barn is a five bay structure, measures 100ft by 40ft, and has more than 15,000 roof tiles.
Three Rivers museum has arranged free tours on the last Saturday of every month from May 28 to October.
The tour, led by a given by a qualified conservator, lasts about 90 minutes, with an explanation of how the building was constructed and the challenges facing the country at the time.
Tours start at 11 am, and meet in the High Street school's car park at 10.45am.
