Balloons and bunting flew in the breeze as residents in Malkin Way, Watford, celebrated the Royal wedding.
About 75 people attended the event, enjoying everything “Royal” from handmade biscuits and cakes to red, white and blue jelly.
They also enjoyed cucumber sandwiches and played games including “Put the ring on Kate’s finger”, a spin-off of “Pin the tail on the donkey”.
Shubhra Halliday, one of seven organisers from the street, said: “It was a really good turnout; a real mixture of all ages.
“Because we’re an enclosed cul-de-sac, we wanted to bring all our neighbours together. We have lived here three years and we thought it would be a great way to get the community together.
“It was a big success. We started early in the morning setting up and it went on quite late in the evening.”
