A sponsored bungee jump to raise money for a children’s hospital ward will go ahead this weekend, despite a change in venue.
Pupils from Watford Grammar School for Boys had hoped to host the event at the Rickmansworth Road school, where volunteers would jump from a platform raised 160 feet into the air.
Fourteen teachers and pupils have signed up for the jump, which will now take place this Sunday at 5pm at Bray Lake, Windsor.
School prefects who organised the event hope to raise £3,500 for Watford General Hospital’s Starfish appeal, which aims to refurbish, renovate and equip four rooms within the ward to improve patient care.
There are still spaces available should anyone wish to take part.
