Thousands of football fans are expected to flood into Watford this weekend.
Championship leaders QPR visit Vicarage Road Stadium on Saturday, with the club needing just one point against the Hornets to secure their promotion to the Premier League next season.
A win would see them become champions with one game to spare.
More than 2,000 QPR supporters will fill the Vicarage Road stand ahead of the match, while Watford FC chiefs have admitted there will be numerous away fans in “home” sections of the ground.
Hundreds more are expected to make the short trip from West London as bookmakers have Neil Warnock’s side at 11/8 to secure the league title.
A Hertfordshire Police representative said: “As with all football matches and events which attract large crowds we have risk assessed the event.
“We continue to work closely with Watford Football Club and work with intelligence received around this game so we can provide adequate resources to ensure the event takes place safely and without any disruption to supporters or local residents and businesses.”
