Although my spaniels, Lily and Poppy have been on the underground, I thought I would be a little more ambitious and try a longer trip. I tried for as few train changes as possible and headed off to Litchfield on a very nippy morning.
We wedged ourselves into a seat and a charming young man sat next to me and made a fuss of Lily, who ended up sitting on his lap,(he was quite happy with this).
We walked from Trent Valley station into the city and found a welcoming pub for lunch. After, we saw the Cathedral (Very dark brown), the farmers market and the quaint shops. We visited churches and pet shops on the walk back to the station and the dogs slept the whole journey home.
