Families flocked to a Watford supermarket over the weekend, to celebrate St George’s Day with fun, food and games.
Staff at Asda in St Albans Road entertained more than 40 visitors at a children’s tea party at the front of the store.
Zoe Stewart, employee, said: “To get into the spirit, all the staff dressed up in red and white and we had a selection of traditional English foods for children to eat including sausage rolls and pork pies.
“Although we promoted the event, I think it was a nice surprise for some of our shoppers.
“In the end we were not only celebrating St George’s Day but also the impending royal wedding.
“It was lovely to see the community come together, especially on such a nice day. We all had a great time.”
