A Watford department store has backed a homeless group as its charity of the year.
John Lewis Watford will support the Herts Young Homeless Group for two years, with staff raising money and raising awareness of the cause.
Its fundraising began at Easter with a biscuit decorating activity in-store for £1.
Nicky Cotton, John Lewis operations manager, said: “As Partners decide which charity we should support, the Charity of the Year partnership is always a central part of branch life at John Lewis.
“By extending the period of time we support Herts Young Homeless Group for two years, we hope John Lewis will be able to make a real difference to the community in which we live and work.
“It will be great to kick off the year with an Easter activity, and we’ve got lots of other events planned. As well as fundraising activities, we’ll be donating our time to volunteer on projects with Michael Sobell House, Ascend and The Chapel of Rest at Watford General Hospital.”
