Organisers of this year’s Kings Langley Carnival are promising to pull out all the stops by making the event bigger and better than before.

The Carnival 2011 Committee, made up of a small group of local volunteers, are in the progress of finalising entertainment details for the June event.

Classic cars will roar through the High Street from 1pm, and visitors can expect to see falconry displays, pottery painting, a funfair, Punch and Judy shows, balloon modelling and a magician performing tricks.

Meanwhile on the carnival stage, Kings Langley Community Choir, the village’s junior school choir and jazz band will showcase their talents.

Refreshments will include a barbecue, bar, Pimms Tent, ice creams and tea and cakes.

Over the years, the carnival has raised thousands of pounds for local charities and organisations.

Residents and village businesses can still get involved with the carnival on Saturday, June 18, by either:

• Placing an advert in the charity carnival programme.

• Sponsoring the event or some part of the afternoon’s entertainment.

• Donating a gift which can be used as a raffle prize on the day

• Having a charity or craft stall

• Offering man-power on the day – we always need more help to make the event run smoothly.
