Nursing staff at Bovingdon’s Mount Prison have been nominated for a prestigious national award.
The new Learning Disability Team are in-line for an award at the Nursing Standard’s Nurse Awards 2011, the winners of which will be announced next week.
The awards, sponsored by a leading nursing journal, recognise excellence in the field.
The Mount team has been shortlisted in the Nursing Innovations category in the Criminal Justice System. The four person team helps prisoners with learning disabilities to better integrate into society upon their release.
Staff from the Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust have also bee nominated for their work with young mental health patients.
