I can hardly believe how quickly this year seems to be going with the Easter break already upon us. At the Trust, it is important that when our offices are closed we continue to offer our services to all our tenants.
This week our offices at Gateway House will be closing at 5:30pm on Thursday 21st April and will be re-opening again at 8:30am on Tuesday 26th April. We will be back in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week before also closing down for the Royal Wedding (29th April) and the May Day Bank Holiday (2nd May).
We continue to operate an emergency only repairs service during these times and our normal opening hours will resume from 8:30am on Tuesday 3rd May.
Easter is always a time when there are lots of activities taking place in our local communities. One of these is the St George’s Day Celebration on 23rd April that Edward Amey Close are organising (with a red and white theme). They have received their licence for a street party and plans are now in full swing. There will be a children’s party including a bouncy castle from 4 to 6pm. Entertainment for the adults starts at 7pm and goes on until midnight.
Another event that I am really excited about is the one organised by the Meriden Residents Association. They are hosting a joint Easter & St Georges Day celebration at the Neighbourhood Office from 12pm - 2pm, which also takes place on Saturday 23rd April. The event will include Easter Eggs, a fancy dress competition and they will be flying the St Georges flags. Refreshments will include traditional English food and drink.
Finally on a lighter note, over the last few weeks the shops have been filled with Easter Eggs (and of course, I have left it to the last minute to go and buy my eggs). I am sure there will be lots of chocoholics out there munching away (not that I need an excuse to eat chocolate I know I will). Whatever your favourite Easter Egg may be…………..enjoy!!
Have a lovely break and hopefully the weather will be good to all of us with plenty of sunshine.
