A herd of bovine lawnmowers will once again be grazing on Chorleywood Common this summer.

Belgium Blue and Pied Montese cows from a local farmer will take up residence on the common from May 6 for six weeks, as trialled last year.

The grazing livestock are a natural way to help maintain the common and its abundance of wild flowers and grasses.

Temporary fencing will be going up next week around Larks Meadow. There will still be kissing gates to allow public access, but dog walkers are asked to keep their pets on a lead.
