A man has been bailed following the attempted robbery of a Watford shop, where an employee had to be rushed to hospital with head injuries.
Police were called to B&Q, in Arches Retail Park, Lower High Street on Friday, where a robbery was taking place.
A 46-year-old man, who works at the home improvement store, was taken to Watford General Hospital with head injuries.
Two men were arrested an hour later at 11am.
A 33-year-old man from Abbots Langley has been bailed until May 3, pending further enquiries, and a 46-year-old man from Watford has been released without charge.
The retail park had to be sealed off by police officers and a partial road closure put in place at Bushey Arches and Dalton Way, at the junction with Lower High Street.
