A man has died following the multi-vehicle crash along the A41 yesterday.
At about 9.15am, police, paramedics, fire crews and an air ambulance were called to the A41, at Junction 20 of the M25.
This followed reports of a ten vehicle smash in the westbound section of the road (going towards Hemel Hempstead).
Police confirmed that ten people were hurt and that one of those had died.
A woman, believed to have been driving a Land Rover, received serious injuries to her arm, and had to be flown directly to Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel.
A 42-year-old Romanian national appeared at Hatfield Magistrates' Court this morning, charged with causing death by dangerous driving.
