A coffee morning and lunch held for members of a Parkinson's disease charity helped comfort sufferers of the condition.
The social event, held at Bushey Metropolitan Police Club, in Aldenham Road, on Friday, was attended by 40 members of the West Herts Branch of Parkinson’s UK.
Dennis Read, of the charity, said “This is primarily a social occasion where people can get out and enjoy the feeling of friendship with a chat over a cup of coffee.
"This gives an opportunity to the new members of the branch to make friends, and realise that they are not alone and that there is help at hand."
The next branch meeting will take place on May 12. For more information, telephone 01923 820395.
