Eye-catching pictures centered on recycling are to adorn refuse vehicles, in a bid by Dacorum Borough Council to promote “green living”.
The refuse vehicles have been produced with messages on food waste and general recycling.
According to the council, the billboard posters are an interchangeable, educational tool to remind residents of the variety of materials that can be recycled.
Craig Thorpe, spokesman for the council, said: “We especially chose interchangeable boards for our refuse vehicles so our messages to residents can be refreshed on a regular basis.
“Thank you to everyone that is recycling and I hope the new messages serve as reminder of how much more can be recycled.”
Dacorum Borough Council is currently recycling at 48 per cent and has one of the top recycling rates in Hertfordshire.
