A woman from Kings Langley has been recognised with a community award, for her lifelong service to the village.

Patricia “Tri” Sleat pipped six other hopefuls to the post at Kings Langley Parish Council’s annual meeting last night.

She was given the title for her lifelong service to the community, and presented with a framed certificate and a bouquet of flowers.
