In the run up to the royal wedding, few will fail to notice the Queen, Prince William and Kate Middleton in a Watford shop this week.
But all is not as it seems.
For the owners of Masquerade fancy dress shop have decided to celebrate the impending nuptials of Prince William and Kate Middleton with an eye-catching window display.
Mannequins, dressed from head-to-toe in clothing befitting a regal wedding, currently adorn the shop in Langley Road.
Jean Harper, owner, explained: “I knew I wouldn’t be getting a invite to the big day and it’s such a great event the country is celebrating - so I thought, what better than to decorate our window.
“It’s taken a bit of planning, what with getting the costumes together.
"I’m not sure how close my take on Kate’s dress is– but I do think ours is befitting a princess.
“The royal wedding has really captured people’s imaginations.
“You never know, the newlyweds may pass through here – I’d be over the moon if they saw our tribute to their big day.”
