To mark Flaunden Parish Council’s Silver Jubilee celebrations, members of the village’s Women’s Institute have created a tapestry showcasing events held anually in the area.
The banner, made up of embroidered squares, depicts the famous Flaunden pancake race, the village’s flower festival, local pubs The Green Dragon and The Bricklayers Arms, as well as Flaunden Church.
Sewn by members of the WI, it was presented to Mayor of Dacorum Councillor Roger Taylor on Saturday, March 26, during a special Silver Jubilee luncheon.
