A Watford man appeared in court today charged with attempted murder.
Nazim Zahir pleaded not guilty to the charge, and one of wounding with intent, at St Albans Crown Court.
The 22-year-old was arrested after a 37-year-old man was stabbed several times with a pair of scissors, in St Georges Road, off The Harebreaks, Watford, in the early hours of January 1.
The victim was taken to the Royal Free Hospital, in London, after the attack and was released by doctors three days later.
A five-day trial has been scheduled to begin on Monday, August 22.
