Chipperfield has a selection of new affordable homes, thanks to a charitable organisation.
Standing on former Dacorum Borough Council land at the end of Kings Close, they were built by Hightown Praetorian and Churches Housing Association.
They have been developed at a cost of £935,000 and have been let to people with a connection to the village through Dacorum Borough Council’s Choice Based Lettings scheme.
Mayor of Dacorum, Councillor Roger Taylor, who officially opened the site on March 22, said: “These attractive new homes have contributed much to the village in allowing young families and those on modest incomes to stay in the area.
“I congratulate Hightown on making best use of the land and their care for the existing residents during construction of the site."
Hightown Praetorian and Churches Housing Association is a charitable organisation which provides a range of housing and support services for people who cannot afford to buy or rent at market values.
