Analogue television signals covering Hertfordshire will be turned off in April 2012, it was revealed today.
BBC Two will disappear from analogue screens on April 4, before BBC One, ITV1, Channel 4 and Channel 5 are switched off on April 18.
After those dates, owners of analogue televisions must buy a new digital set or a Freeview box to pick up programmes shown on these channels.
The switchover next April is thought to affect 12million people living in Hertfordshire, London, Essex, Kent, London, Middlesex and Surrey.
