In the run-up to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding, Hertfordshire County Council has revealed it has received a record number of street party applications.
According to the council, Hertfordshire is the county where the most royal wedding street parties will be hosted - outstripping other areas by more than 200 applications.
Applications for street parties closed yesterday (April 4) with a grand total of 298 applications received.
The number of applications by district is as follows:
• East Hertfordshire = 45 (43 approved)
• Dacorum = 40 (37 approved)
• Broxbourne = 19 (all approved)
• Hertsmere = 20 (all approved)
• North Hertfordshire = 36 (all approved)
• St Albans = 61 (60 approved)
• Stevenage = 17 (16 approved)
• Three Rivers = 21 (all approved)
• Watford = 14 (13 approved)
• Welwyn Hatfield = 25 (22 approved)
