Bushey and Radlett residents can nominate local heroes for an annual awards ceremony later this year.
The Hertsmere Borough Council Civic Awards recognise people who have acted bravely, selflessly or whose work has benefited other people in the area.
Hertsmere Mayor Linda Silver said: "The awards allow people to be publicly recognised for their achievements. I encourage residents to think about people in their area who deserve to be awarded for their generous or courageous behaviour."
Nominations can also be made for the Dave Rankin Award that was introduced to recognise work undertaken to improve community safety.

Nominations will close on Friday, November 26.
