Radlett celebrated 30 years of friendship with its German twin town in September.
Members of the Radlett and Aldenham International Friendship Association (RAIFA) spent a long weekend in Lautertal, Germany, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the first twinning agreement.
The group included three members who went on the original visit to the region in 1980.
The trip, from September 23 to September 27, included breakfast at Schönberg Castle, the former home of Queen Victoria's grandfather.
RAIFA chairman Clive Glover said: “It was good. Over the years we have travelled back and forth and become friends. There has been visits from schools and choirs so I think it has been good for both parties. We are trying to get more families involved at the moment and will be inviting the people of Lautertal back next year.”
