A “mysterious” graffiti vandal, who has defaced parts of Kings Langley with spray paint, could cause a spike in reported crime rates for the village, according to police.
At a meeting of the Kings Langley Parish Council on Tuesday evening, PC Nik Pringle revealed that the village had been subject to vandalism over the past few weeks.
He said: “As I’m sure you are all aware there has been a lot of graffiti in the village – near Rockcliffe Avenue and on Station footpath.
“On the way to this meeting, myself and PCSO Kirkpatrick have spotted some more.
“This ‘mysterious’ vandal who is causing all of this - well we do have someone in mind.
“I would warn councillors that when this person is caught, we are going to see a report of 20 incidents alone for graffiti.
“Because of this individual the crime rates will increase for the month.”
