A protest meeting to save Durrants House in Croxley Green is to be held in the village this weekend.
Resident Gill Thomas, who has organised the meeting, is inviting villagers to the Community Hall, in New Road, to discuss the future of the historic building and its sports field in Lincoln Way.
Three Rivers District Council has confirmed that planning permission to use the area for 156 houses was granted in 2006.
The meeting on Sunday will start at 4.30pm.
