Members of a Bushey church are holding a coffee morning and mini-market for charity this Saturday.

St Andrew's Methodist Church, in High Road, are hosting the event as part of their Harvest Festival celebrations, between 10.30am and noon.

Takings will be donated to the SNEHA Home for street children, in Bangalore, India, which provides shelter, food, education and a future for many street children living in the slums and shanties in and around the city.

The coffee morning, which has been running for more than 20 years, will feature a tombola, raffle and home made cakes, as well as a number of stalls.

Organiser Heather Turner said: “It is good to do something for other people who need our money a lot more than we do. We alternate between a charity at home and one abroad each year and it is nice for the church and the community to get involved.”

A traditional harvest festival church service will be held on Sunday morning and anyone is welcome to attend.
